Titan Poker Players Fly to Monaco for European Poker Tour Grand Final
Internationally renowned poker room Titan Poker sent three skilled players to compete in the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo.
(PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- Titan Poker, the largest poker room on the iPoker Network, awarded three players with prize packages worth a combined total of $60,000 to the European Poker Tour Monte Carlo (EPT Monte Carlo) earlier this month. The players traveled from France, Italy and Germany to compete in this elite tournament, which marked the end of the EPT's fourth season and eight months of intensive poker across Europe's top cities.
All players won their seats at Super Satellites staged online at Titan Poker. For French player Vincent Marlard, 29, an investment of just $21 turned into a $20,000 prize package to the EPT Grand Final.
He said: 'I originally paid just $21 for an online EPT Monte Carlo satellite. From here I kept on winning seats to bigger satellites until I eventually won my place in Monte Carlo. It felt like a dream.'
Titan Poker sent its representatives to the Columbus Hotel in Monte Carlo, Monaco, from the 12th to the 18th of April. It was not the first time that the popular poker room has sent its players to luxurious Monaco for this event, however this year's prize package was larger than ever before. All players received a 10,600 Euro buy-in to the Main Event, six nights' accommodation at the Columbus Hotel in Monte Carlo, and approximately $2,400 for flights and spending.
Following the tournament, Felice Piccaluga, from Italy, said: 'I am thrilled that I was given this amazing experience. Unfortunately, I was eliminated on the second day but I had a fantastic time and I had the opportunity to play with some of the biggest stars of the poker world! I'm definitely going to keep playing at Titan Poker for another chance!'
Titan Poker regularly awards its players with seats at the world's most well-known poker tournaments. It will be sending players to the World Series of Poker 2008 in Las Vegas and the World Poker Showdown in the Dominican Republic later this year. In May, Titan Poker will sponsor the Eurocity Poker Tour Madrid Open - an elite poker tournament open to just 200 players.
Nine Days of Tropical Paradise Await Titan Poker Players
Cory Tymich from Canada and Damien de Gaye of France will represent Titan Poker, the largest poker room on the iPoker Network, this May at the World Poker Showdown (WPS) Ocean World tournament in the Dominican Republic.
Both players have been awarded a $9,000 Prize package to the WPS Ocean World in the Dominican Republic from May 9th through the 18th. In addition to free entry to the $2650 main event, they will also have their flights, travel costs, luxury accommodations for seven nights, all meals at the hotel and spending money provided by Titan Poker.
Cory Tymich has been playing with Titan Poker for two years and has become somewhat of a star considering this is his fourth big win at the popular poker room. Although Cory also enjoys playing poker live, he believes playing online is superior. "It is so easy to get into a game and you can play more than one game at the same time," he commented.
Fellow winner, Damien de Gaye, has been playing at Titan Poker for a very short time, less than a year. However, on March 9th Damien secured his place at the WPS Ocean World Dominican Republic and is thrilled to be representing Titan Poker at this upcoming event.
Titan Poker regularly awards its players with seats at internationally-known poker tournaments, such as the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the Aussie Millions and various European Poker Tour events. Titan Poker is sponsoring the upcoming Eurocity Poker Tour Madrid Open this May, Titan Poker's first "land-based" tournament.
